Start Series! Global Entrepreneurship Launch Party

Celebrating Startups in Columbia

Monday, November 18

5:30pm  - 7:30pm

300 Senate Street (Senate’s End on the River)

Concept:

Join us for an invitation only event as we celebrate the kickoff of Global Entrepreneurship Week and our vision for making Columbia the most talented, educated, and entrepreneurial city in the Southeast.  Global Entrepreneurship Week is the world’s largest celebration of the innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. GEW inspires people everywhere through local, national and global activities designed to help them explore their potential as self-starters and innovators.  Columbia, SC will be a part of a 138 country, 40,000 event week celebrating everything good about entrepreneurship.

We’ll be joined by Katie Peterson, the Director for Innovation and Networks with the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the world’s leading institution dedicated to entrepreneurship.  In addition, attendees will have an opportunity to meet the finalists from USC’s Proving Ground Entrepreneurial Competition and to network with other entrepreneurs in Columbia’s growing startup community.

Thanks to our sponsors for making both the Proving Ground and Launch Event a reality:  SCRA Technology Ventures, Maxient, Fluor, BB&T, BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina, Bridge to Life, EngenuitySC, Inn at USC Wyndam Garden, and Shore Holdings.
